Geozone Tomorrowland

To guarantee safety and security at Tomorrowland, a temporary geozone above the festival site will be active on the following dates:
– from 17/07/2025 7.00 CET until 21/07/2025 14.00 CET
– from 24/07/2025 7.00 CET until 28/07/2025 14.00 CET
During this time frame, specific access conditions apply to all drone operations within the designated airspace.
Flight Authorisation
- All drone flights must receive prior flight authorisation.
- Drone flights over or near the festival terrain will only be authorised if operated by Tomorrowland staff, official contractors or the police.
- Other drone operators must provide a valid justification for flying in the remaining areas of the geozone.
- Submit your request via the SkeyDrone Planner application.
- Watch this video for step-by-step instructions.
24 Hours in Advance
- Requests must be submitted minimum 24 hours before the flight.
- First, create an account on the SkeyDrone Hub, then plan your flight in the Planner application.
- Required info includes: flight plan, timing, height, drone and operator details.
- It is important to enter the correct serial number. For DJI drones: this is the Flight Controller SN. More information can be found here.
Flight Limitations
- Maximum height: 400 ft AGL.
- Flying over uninvolved persons or assemblies of people is not allowed.
- Drones must remain within visual line of sight (VLOS) of the pilot at all times.
Drone Requirements
- The drone must have direct remote identification activated and be equipped with a geo-awareness system.
Additional Requirements for Operations at Tomorrowland
- The pilot must hold an A2 certificate of remote pilot competency or higher.
- All instructions by the police and the Tomorrowland Flight Coordinator must be followed.
- The drone pilot must have 2-way radio communication with the coordination team during the flight.
- Attendance at the mandatory operational briefings is required for all drone pilots.
❗ Non-compliance will lead to exclusion from further drone operations in the geozone.
Please note that the upper part of the Tomorrowland geozone overlaps with the controlled airspace of Antwerp Airport, for which different conditions apply. If your flight plan – even partially – overlaps with this area, you must request an additional flight authorisation from skeyes via their Drone & Aerial Activities application.
The police will strictly monitor compliance with the measures, and the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority will consistently follow up on any violations. Offenders risk having their drone confiscated and receiving a fine.
For illustration: during the previous edition of Tomorrowland, 11 drones were confiscated and fines of up to €8,000 were issued.
