The Role

As a Product Manager at SkeyDrone, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of our product offerings. You will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and execution to deliver world-class solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth. This role requires a blend of business, technical and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
You’ll start managing our UTM (read: flight authorization software) business line, used by skeyes, Belgian defense and other customers. Gradually, you will gain additional responsibilities, incl. in our detection product offerings.
The role involves a minimum of two days per week working from our office in Steenokkerzeel (Brussels), fostering collaboration and team connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: manage the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to release. Ensure product development stays on schedule and within budget.
• Market Research: conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer pain points, and potential product enhancements. Use this research to make data-driven decisions.
• Product Planning: create detailed product plans, including defining feature sets, specifications, and user stories. Collaborate with engineering and other team members to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
• Product Strategy: develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and customer needs. Identify market opportunities and define the product roadmap accordingly.
• User-Centered Design: champion a user-centric approach to product development by working closely with the design responsible to create intuitive and delightful user experiences.
• Cross-functional collaboration: collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams (incl partner companies) to ensure product development is aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
• KPIs and Metrics: define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of the product and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
• Customer Feedback: gather and analyze customer feedback, and use it to iterate on the product, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Product Launch: plan and execute successful product launches, including marketing strategies and sales enablement.
• Product pricing & profitability: you keep a clear view on the cost structure and profitability of our products and co-define their price setting.
• Pre-sales support: support marketing and sales teams with demos or technical questions, participate in prospect or customer meetings.
• Risk Management: identify potential risks and challenges and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Your Profile

• At least a bachelor degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (min 5y) as a Product Manager / Agile Product Owner, with a successful track record of bringing products to market.
• Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (EN + NL/FR).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Structured and attentive for correct documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead with influence.
• We are looking for a continuous learner; knowledge of the aviation industry is a plus.
