Stijn De Vleeschhouwer Appointed Managing Director of SkeyDrone

Steenokkerzeel, 4 September 2025  – SkeyDrone is pleased to announce the appointment of Stijn De Vleeschhouwer as its new Managing Director, effective today. He is succeeding Hendrik-Jan Van Der Gucht, who leaves the company at the end of the month for a new challenge.

Stijn De Vleeschhouwer brings extensive experience in building teams, business growth & strategy, and will guide SkeyDrone through its next phase of growth and innovation. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to advancing safe and efficient drone operations across Europe.

Founded in 2020, SkeyDrone, a subsidiary of skeyes and Brussels Airport Company, has rapidly developed into a trusted partner for the drone ecosystem. With a strong focus on U-space services and drone detection capabilities, the company is shaping the safe integration of drones into European airspace.

The Board would also like to sincerely thank Hendrik-Jan Van Der Gucht for his leadership and dedication as Managing Director over the past five and a half years. Under his guidance, SkeyDrone has become a key player in the emerging European drone ecosystem. He will remain with the company until 30 September to ensure a smooth transition.
